If there is any one food that is typically associated with fun, it would have to be pizza. According to a current article on the Philly Voice website, lots of pizza and fun will be available at Citizens Bank Park this coming September.
A new community event named the Philadelphia Pizza Festival is slated to be held at the ball park on Saturday, September 8, 2018. As the name suggests, a wide variety of pizza pie options, including Neapolitan, boardwalk, New York, Chicago and Sicilian styles will be served at this large pizza party.
In addition to plenty of pizza pie varieties, visitors to the festival will be able to partake of live entertainment, pizza-making, and a wine and beer garden.
Each general admission ticket to the Philadelphia Pizza Festival provides the holder with a ticket to a Philadelphia Phillies game, free parking, five slices of pizza and access to parts of the field.
With a VIP ticket, the holder receives two Phillies tickets, early access to the park, 10 pizza slices, wine and craft beer tastings, access to parts of the field, free parking and a gift bag.
A family friendly event, the Philadelphia Pizza Festival offers free admission for children age 10 and under. Balloon artists, face painters and an assortment of carnival games will be on hand to entertain the younger set during the festival.
The pizza pies at the Philadelphia Pizza Festival will be prepared by pizza parlors, various restaurants, and even food trucks from throughout the area.
Interest in this fun and appetizing event is expected to be high, and pre-sale tickets are still available. Tickets for the general public will be available starting on June 15, 2018.
When September 8, 2018 rolls around, it looks like there are going to be many happy and hungry people eating pizza at Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park.
