“The most difficult prison to break out of is your mind,” says JR Ridinger at the start of his talk.
Part of becoming successful is programming your brain to be open to it. “I’m as average as can be,” he says. In this, he’s alluding to the fact that any one of the UnFranchise owners in the audience can achieve success by changing the way that their brain functions. Bringing it all to a head, he says “The difference between you and me is I know how to program my brain.” JR jokes that he’s a part-time brain surgeon. He operates on the way that people think, and he works to determine if you’re open and receptive to learning how to expand your mind for success.
JR Ridinger asks the individuals in the crowd why they are at the World Conference. It takes a lot to get here. You have to save for it, buy the tickets, book your hotel, book your flight, and then actually go. None of it’s accidental. JR says that the people in attendance are here with the right person at the right time. He goes on to say that once you’ve programmed your brain, it doesn’t so much matter what you do. In fact, you’ll be doing everything you can to get your success, even if you don’t realize it. It’s automatic. Even if your environment and circumstances aren’t right at the moment, the right things will be attracted to you.

He says he’s already made it and he doesn’t do this for money. And he can tell all of the UnFranchise owners the secrets of success, but it doesn’t work unless they continue to reintroduce the ideas into their lives each and every day. It’s easy to feel motivated during and right after attending the World Conference. JR says that he knows that you can get distracted and get back in to your old ways. But you’re not in for real change unless you keep up the behaviors and beliefs throughout the year. He wants to see all of the UnFranchise owners reach Director level or above, and he believes it’s possible.

They have to keep going out and seeking new ways to make money. When you set up your Market America business properly, you’re creating a lasting income that you don’t have to keep chasing.
