2017 was a big year for Aloha Construction. The company, founded by Dave Farbaky in 2008, grew, changed, and gave back to the community this year. Aloha Construction received awards, served homeowners in Illinois and Wisconsin, and even re-launched a new branch of the company in the past year. Keep reading to learn what they accomplished in 2017, and what’s still yet to come in the new year!
Winter 2017
Aloha Construction started 2017 with a brand new look. The company unveiled a new blog where customers can keep up with press releases, news, and read educational blog posts to help them learn about and DIY their own roofing repairs. Aloha Construction also redesigned their website this year to present a fresh, new, and clean look, and make their repair information clear and easy to understand. The company also worked hard to streamline the finance process. With their new 2017 partnership with Synchrony Financial, financing your new roof with Aloha Construction is now easier than ever.

In February, Aloha Construction ran a major giveaway on their Facebook page. The company offered 12 tickets to a VIP box at a Chicago Bulls game. The generous gift was received by Anthony Lynch, a 12-year-old boy with congenital heart disease. He had the experience of a lifetime in the box suite at the Chicago Bulls game in March with eleven of his friends. This event only set the tone for many more generous acts of Aloha Construction throughout the year. The company also hosted the Bloomington Boys and Girls Club Youth of the Month in March and made it possible for children in the group to attend a hockey game with a generous donation of their Bloomington Thunder season tickets.
Spring 2017
April of 2017 began with big news. Dave Farbaky proudly announced that Aloha Construction reached their goal of completing 20,000 local roofing jobs. Since the company’s inception, Aloha Construction has roofed and repaired over 20,000 homes in the state of Illinois, cementing themselves as clear leaders in the local roofing and siding industry!
The good news didn’t end there. Dave and his team are also proud sponsors of the Bloomington Thunder hockey team and were awarded as Bloomington Thunder Co-Sponsors of the Year. Aloha Construction ended the month with a bang at the Lake County Home and Garden Show, where their roofing and siding expo booth received positive feedback from local customers.
May started with an All-Company Kick-Off Meeting. The meeting allowed the Lake Zurich and Bloomington locations to get together and even included the Aloha Construction sister company, Community Exteriors. At the meeting, Dave emphasized Aloha Construction’s core company values of responsibility and accountability to the community and building strong relationships both within the company and the community.
Summer 2017
June and July were spent working on something big. Aloha Construction sponsored the Kane County Cougars, the local Class A Affiliate baseball team, and cheered them on to a winning season. The company also continued to go above and beyond in their repair work for homeowners in Illinois and Wisconsin, but that wasn’t all they had up their sleeve.
In August, their new partner company Aloha Restoration Co. was relaunched. Aloha Construction is experts in roofing and siding and Aloha Restoration Co. now covers the rest. The company specializes in fire, water, smoke, and mold damage and repair. They also complete indoor renovations and remodels, and have created beautiful kitchens, bathrooms, and flooring in the local community. The re-launch allows Aloha Construction to widen their reach to both interiors and exteriors, and better serve every homeowner in Illinois and Wisconsin.
Fall 2017
As summer faded into fall this year, Aloha Construction didn’t stop with the good work or the sponsorships. In October of 2017, the company announced a new partnership and is proud to sponsor the Central Illinois Flying Aces USHL hockey team. Dave made his dream come true with his successful business and now hopes to help other students, children, and athletes in the community chase their own dreams with his generous sports sponsorships.
In November, Dave decided to take his sponsorship goals one step farther. Aloha Construction sponsors the Illinois State University Athletics and announced that they planned to do something new. To do this, Aloha Construction and ISU partnered with Camp One Step. This camp specializes in creating activities and experiences for children with cancer and works hard to help them forget about their disease for a few days and enjoy their childhood. Dave was so inspired by their mission that Aloha Construction has agreed to donate $5 for every assist ISU scores on their men’s and women’s basketball team throughout the current season.
Finally, December has rolled around and 2017 is coming to a close. However, Aloha Construction had one more surprise in store for them. In December, the company announced they have been awarded the Better Business Bureau’s 2017 Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics. Aloha Construction was chosen because they have repeatedly shown that they put their customers and honest practices at the forefront of every project they complete. Aloha Construction was honored to be recognized for their hard work!
2017 in Review
Aloha Construction is a staple company in the community, and this year in review makes it clear why business is booming. Dave Farbaky puts giving back and forming relationships with the community first, and profits second. His hard work really shows, and 2017 was full of sponsorships, giveaways, and events for local kids. The company also re-launched Aloha Restoration Co. and reached their goal of working on 20,000 local roofs in the state of Illinois. Finally, they were recognized and awarded the 2017 Torch Award for Ethics in the Marketplace from the Better Business Bureau.
