The final trailer for “Wonder Woman” is out, much to the delight of the fans. Apart from the action-packed trailer, it is also indicated that the movie will see a deviation from the original storyline of the comic.
The “Wonder Woman” trailer shows Diana, played by Gal Gadot, breaking windows and glass ceilings in her fearless avatar, reports Entertainment Weekly. Notably, the trailer was released at the MTV Movie & TV Awards on Sunday.
The trailer indicates that the movie will highlight the journey of Princess Diana to become a soldier. Also, the movie will have Diana on her fighting mode and there is nothing that can stop the warrior princess. Her mother, Queen Hippolyta will also advise her that just fighting will not help her become a hero. But, things take a different turn after Steve Trevor, played by Chris Pine tell the Diana that a big war is raging outside.
Moreover, the trailer has also revealed that the storyline of the movie will deviate from the original story of the comic. Director, Patty Jenkins has made some changes and unlike the comic, the movie will not have the Amazon tournament, which fans have been anticipating with many high hopes.
In related news, it has also been said that the upcoming movie will have “Wonder Woman” as the daughter of Zeus, Screen Rant has learned. But, the most upsetting part for fans is the Amazon tournament which is not included in the movie. So, this also means that unlike the DC comic, Diana will not be the tournament winner. Rather, the movie will have her leaving home quietly and it is only her mother, who will bid her goodbye.
Now it remains to be seen, how the movie’s storyline takes shape with the deviations. “Wonder Woman” is slated for a June 2 release.
